Tiger Mountain 1925 Train Crash Site

Near the West Side Road on Tiger Mountain at Holder Creek are artifacts from a 1925 train crash that offer a glimpse into Tiger's logging history.

Despite rheumatoid arthritis I've spent over 20 years exploring the Washington State backcountry and I believe our connection with nature—its land, water, sky, and wildlife—makes us whole. A huge fire lookout geek, I've visited every historic fire lookout in Washington, staff the Goat Peak fire lookout near my home in the Methow Valley, and help to research and preserve these historic structures.
