Ironic isn’t it that I ran the coldest trail race I’ve ever done at one of the hottest places on earth? Go figure. No one believes me when I say I almost froze to death in Death Valley.
Ah, the beautiful Methow Valley, pretty much my second home. It’s paradise in this little secluded valley. I almost don’t want word to get out – I like to keep it all to myself! I’m always happy to spend time here so I couldn’t pass up running my first Rainshadow
Last weekend I volunteered at Rainshadow Running’s Yakima Skyline Rim 25k/50k race and found out first-hand that volunteering at a James Varner event is just as epic as running it. It’s one of the most fun weekends I’ve ever had and reconfirmed the awesomeness of the entire trail running community.
